The Governing Laws of Faith Part 2

The nature of faith is spiritual.  But now, in the spiritual realm there are governing laws that we have to respect. There are governing laws in the natural realm also.

“There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.”  Romans 8:1 KJV

“For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin and death.”Romans 8:2 KJV

Faith is governed by a spiritual law. If we are going to walk by faith, we must understand the laws that govern it. If we do not follow the governing law, it won’t automatically work. If we try to throw the laws out and try to work faith, it won’t work.

As believers, we need to learn to say what we want. There’s a law that governs faith confessions.

“For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith.” Mark 11:23 KJV

1.The governing law about confession is that we must believe in our hearts whatever we say about our confessions. To believe what we say with our mouths, we have to place it in our hearts.

“But what saith it? The word is nigh thee, even in thy mouth, and in thy heart: that is, the word of faith, which we preach;” Romans 10:8 KJV

2. We can’t be moved by what we see. We have to put the word in our mouths. The word goes first of all in our mouths. Then, we must speak! Whatever gets in the mouth gets in the heart.

Most of us don’t have it in our mouths. We have what we think and what we feel. What gets in our mouth will soon govern our lives. The power of death and life is in the tongue. It doesn’t matter about our feelings, our thoughts etc.  We have to put it in our mouths.

The word doesn’t automatically get in our mouths. We have to put it there.

“A good man out of the good treasure of his heart bringeth forth that which is good; and an evil man out of the evil treasure of his heart bringeth forth that which is evil: for of the abundance of the heart his mouth speaketh.” Luke 6:45 KJV

How do we write the Word of God on our hearts?  Psalm 45:1 helps us.

“My heart is inditing a good matter: I speak of the things which I have made touching the king: my tongue is the pen of a ready writer.” Psalms 45:1 KJV

We can’t write on paper with our tongues, can we?   No, we write the Word of God in our hearts with our tongues-by the words we say.   Where do we get the words to say?  We get our words from God Himself.  From His Word.

We take God’s Word and speak it out of our mouths and that Word gets in our hearts.  Then the life in the Word works in and for us!   So, let’s get the work.

Just like we respect the natural laws and see results; let’s respect these governing laws of faith.    If you work the Word, the Word will work for you.
