I want to share a truth that radically changed my life. When I truly understood that I was a new creation in Christ Jesus, it did just that. You would need to have known me before Christ and you would agree. I challenge you to get on the journey of knowing who you are in Christ Jesus and who Christ is in you. It will revolutionize your life as well.
2 Corinthians 5:17 KJV “Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.”
Even though we can read that we are a new creation in Christ, we must catch the revelation or reality of it before we can live in it the way God has designed and purposed for us to do so. When we look in the mirror, we aren’t looking at something new. But, as we study and meditate the scriptures, the Truth of God’s Word will register in our hearts. We cannot identify with the fact that we are new creations with our senses.
Being a new creation in Christ, must be received on the basis of faith in God’s Word. Everything we will receive from God has to be received by faith. Hebrews 11:1 AMPC “NOW FAITH is the assurance (the confirmation, the title deed) of the things [we] hope for, being the proof of things [we] do not see and the conviction of their reality [faith perceiving as real fact what is not revealed to the senses].”
The new man in Christ is a very unique and special person. The world has never seen people like each of us. Once we’ve received Christ, there’s more to us than what meets the eye. The enemy (satan) will always try to paint a picture of who we are. He tries to show us what we are not. But, be determined to know what God says about you. Turn your ear to Him by reading His Word and going to church to hear the Word.
Christ restored EVERYTHING that Adam lost in the garden!
The scriptures have so much to say about you. So enjoy your journey like I did and your life is bound to be better because your thinking will be better. You will have God’s thoughts about you.
